Lagerstroemia indica (Crape Myrtle)

Crape myrtles, with their smooth shiny trunk surfaces, have a sculptural appearance even when leafless in winter and are a favorite plant for the summer months. They can grow to an average of 6-7 meters. Clusters of flowers resembling grape clusters begin to appear towards the end of June and continue to show themselves until the end of summer.
